A cover letter is one of the essential factors in getting a job in any of the reputed organization. In short, a cover letter is a small summary of your resume, which highlights the essential parts of the resume in an effective manner. Basically, there are three sections in the cover letter that includes:
- Section 1: The first section is the main objectives of the cover letter i.e. the position for which you are applying. Also, mention the key skills and the job responsibilities that you undertook in the current company. You should also mention the reference, if any, because sometimes reference plays an important role in getting a good job in the organization. The reference is the source from where you came to know about the job openings. Also, show your eagerness in joining the organization.
- Section 2: This is the main body or the informative section of the cover letter that includes the your professional summary (present and past experience), academic details, project details, achievements, skill set, extra-curricular activities and contact details along with the email id and telephone number. Always remember to enter the correct details; you can be in trouble in the near future and try not to include unnecessary information. Be short and precise in drafting the cover letter.
- Section 3: Last but not the least, end the cover letter with the salutation to the recruiter for their valuable and precious time. Try to convince them to arrange a meeting so that you could be more expressive.
